Getting to know Ted…
Inspired design is breaking away from utilitarian and “it has always been done this way” standards. Program requirements can be satisfied in new and interesting ways. We want to create dynamic, communal spaces that encourage interaction—exciting spaces that become a hub of activity around which intimate neighborhoods can thrive.
Nature in general provides a great source of inspiration for me and then there is—ospreys, Beethoven, The Allman Brothers, my wife, poet Rainer Maria Rilke, Obama, archeology, art, astronomy, masons…and always wind, and its clouds.
Drawing and masonry are special skills of mine as well as interests I pursue outside of work. And when I have the opportunity to travel, the coasts of the North Sea and Northern England are some of my favorite destinations.
