Getting to know Chris…
Inspired design means the ability to deliver a carefully considered design concept. In addition to addressing the client’s required program areas, we think about the entire plan and every inch of the space from floor to ceiling. We explore material and finish options, colors, patterns and textures. All of these details are created with a purpose so the final result is a harmonious environment.
I have worked for a long time, at MDP and at previous employers, with fellow MDP employee Ted Watson. His passion and drive to get the details right inspire me to create better spaces. Over the years his passion for architecture rubbed off on me. At MDP, we challenge each other, fellow consultants and clients to create inspired design.
I find these words by Salvador Dali to be influential in my process—“A true artist is not one who is inspired, but one who inspires others.”
When it comes to interesting skills, know that I have a very good memory. It is so good that I can remember conversations verbatim long after they occurred.
