Summary
Hebrew Home at Riverdale by RiverSpring Living “has helped its residents live the fullest lives they can” for over 100 years. MDP has worked with the leadership team to revitalize the New York campus for the past 22 years. The next step in enhancing the campus experience is the transformation of an existing building into a world-class rehab center. RiverSpring credits an incredibly generous grant for supporting this effort to become a national leader in experimenting with and adopting new technology to support older adults.
Inspired Design
Delivering a state-of-the-art rehab experience raises the bar on design expectations. Every design detail and material selection are aimed at elevating the décor with a combination of subtle sophistication and colorful energy. It is designed to elevate resident life—supporting rest, recovery and rehabilitation as well as encouraging activity, connectivity and vibrant living.
Style
The intent was to create a modern, hospitality-inspired environment with clean lines, simple details, elevated materials vibrant pops of color and an emphasis on maximizing daylight and views.
Materials
Modern flooring, focal walls and ceiling elements create a distinct sense of arrival on the first and second floors. Striking reception desks feature combinations of walnut, stone and illuminated 3form as well as metal-wrapped columns and dropped ceiling details.
