Inspired Design

The benefits of an intergenerational lifestyle inspired the design of Broadview. The team explored an architectural vocabulary and design aesthetic with a broad appeal to multiple generations. The goal was to create an energetic environment that encourages connectivity, camaraderie as well as quiet contemplation.

Style

The interior design reflects a refined farmhouse chic aesthetic shaped by the residents’ desire for a sophisticated, Manhattan-inspired style. Vintage and industrial elements with clean lines and modern details achieve the eclectic aesthetic—farmhouse chic with layers of elegance and sophistication. This “old meets new” design expression infuses the interior with the essence of intergenerational living—a style that makes everyone feel at home.

Materials

The eclectic design is achieved with a layering of materials. A neutral backdrop is enhanced with the warmth and texture of exposed beams, reclaimed wood and shiplap. Storefront and Mondrian-inspired glass partitions offer a modern appeal and achieve levels of transparency between spaces. A mix of metals and pipe and rail displays add an industrial edge, while pops of color, texture and pattern infuse energy and unexpected visual delights.
